I have noticed that his forum now has 3000 members :clap which I thought should be noted, even though they don't all post here, it is a milestone, and still impressive given that I don't think these types of forums are as popular as they once were. Good on You Son.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Mmm. Yeah it's fine, but I wonder how many could be said to be "active".

Social media has its place but it has really killed forums.

Forums allow proper discussion and for information to be preserved and found easily, social media doesn't really.

The Knopfler Facebook page has over 20,000 fans, basically all happy clappers, someone posts something and you'll get a ton of people waxing lyrical about how great it or MK is.

It is what is is.

I used to post on several forums, but now it's just this one and one other. I agree these types of forums do allow for a greater conversation to take place, although I can't comment about social media, Facebook etc, as I don't use it.

3000 members is nice! Congratulations to the founders. It's hard to believe that this place exists for ... 17 years now? I found it coincidentally in 2009 while I wondered why the "other" place went so deadly quiet....

thnx dad.
that is more than the R&D floyd forum with 2755. but of course that one is newer. still, they took over a huge chunk of the old Yeeshkul audience.
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....
