Guitarist - BIA feature (MK & JI interviews)
« on: September 24, 2025, 09:39:35 AM »
Just found this. The current issue (October ‘25) of Guitarist magazine (UK) has a really nice Brothers in Arms feature, including a new interview with Mark, as well as John Illsley and Ron Eve.

I found it online after a quick search. It’s only a handful of pages long, but it’s worth a read.

Sure thing. I just found it online and didn’t think linking to it would be a problem as it’s not hosted here (and easily found via Google), but I do take the point & understand the reasons for caution. Cheers, Dusty.  :thumbsup

Either way, at least this thread can serve as a heads-up to anyone interested in buying the issue.

Speaking of interviews

Not this time that Rick Beato's visit to England brought his audiência an interview with MK.

It is a pity. Because even thought Rick may not seem to be a "fan" of Mark's work, he certainly is a great intervier and he easily could do a great interview with Mark.

The problem would be if Mark starts to tell the story about blowing a family rádio...

Or if him would do such a interview nowadays.

He's only likely to do these things when there is something to promote...

As always, Mark can only answer to the questions he is being asked, if people who interview him would stop asking the same type of questions, then maybe he would give different answers.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Exactly! A lot depends on the journalist's questions.

The magazine is nice, nice free double sided poster, 61 Strat on one side, National on the other.

Not too much new in the article, but a nice read nonetheless. Most interesting stuff comes from Ron Eve, who confirms that the Les Paul Junior stuff was nonsense.

Never heard anything regarding the Les Paul Junior linked with MFN or the bia recording. That's new for me.
