very good set, but given the large band, what I expect is that many songs are like Marbletown, Privateering or Postcards and this thing doesn't really make me happy. What I want is to listen to Mark, I'm happy with just a few pieces, in some old-time piece, played with the taste of the old days, without too many frills ... bass, drums, a string of keyboards and his guitar ... I ask too much?

Surely I can't be the only one that wondered if after visiting the spanish city for his interview with Brian, Mark went home to see if he could remember how to play TOL? As someone who isn't old enough to have ever had the opportunity to hear that live, what a magical thing that would be for me....

I’ve been keeping my eye on this upcoming tour with Mark Knopfler and it’s just a couple of weeks before I leave to begin rehearsals in London.  Hard to believe it’s been four years since we did our last touring.  These last few weeks I’ve been playing through some songs testing my memory.  Pleased to say it’s come back like an old friend.  I’m really looking forward to hitting the boards again with MK and that great band.
