Title: Tour merch
Post by: goldenheart96 on April 27, 2013, 12:15:10 AM
So while y'all are buzzing with excitement about first shows and stuff, here's the really important question (just kidding, I know that discussing the absense of Bonaparte is far more important): How's the tour merch? What's up on sale? How do the women shirts look like? Would be very interested in descriptions and pics!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thank you GH for starting this topic. I was thinking about it.  Anyone who are going to the shows, please let us know what kind of goodies are for sale.  What the ladies' T look like ?  Colors ? Price ?  pictures please. :)

Looks like the same design as the GB badge on the van from the album cover with MK substituting the letters GB.

I mentioned the mug and the book above.
I forgot the limited signed litho.

I didn't mention the CDs on purpose.

Nothing else. No flask, no pendant, no pin, no badge, no keyring.....

Thanks MOAT!! So I suppose the pink one is the (only?) ladies shirt... Oh my. Light pink makes me look pale.. Was hoping for a nice, decent looking MK ladies shirt with the album title and Mark's name (similar to the ATRR ladies shirt, loved that one), but obviously that was too much to ask for.

Sorry, lost the text, by staring at the photo... What was the purpose of the question from MK.com, about the merch then? Or have everybody asked for such things yet once again?

What is the mug look like?

Thanks,

I guess that its the exchange rato whick makes it more cheap or expensive.

I recall that the tour programme during the GL tour was more expensive in London than in Spain.

My Facebook friend Guido Karp posted this picture of MK here:

Very recently (day of Thatcher funeral) he was in London to shoot the production rehearsals at the LH2 building near Wembley. If you check Guy's photos of the rehearsal you'll also see at the gate the LH2 sign :)
Pictures are for the tour book...I saw Guido last Saturday and he had his MBP with him... ;-)

The shirt with the MK picture has only the countries at the back, while the one with the van has the cities...

Is there any t-shirt with the MK picture and the cities as well?

Thanks for the reply jbaent but it ain't there to be found.  :disbelief  And I never saw it for sale at MK.com. They used to have the tab book from GL, but that is easy to find anyway. If you have any other idea, do share it. And if anyone is reading and is interested in trading with  one of the STP or ATRR and maybe GH, please PM me!

I think that MK gave us the ultimate souvenir, by recording and selling all the shows. The usb looks fantastic and it is music.

Hi all

I didn't get a chance to buy a t-shirt I really like, the green one with Mark. Would anybody who plans on attending one of the upcoming concerts be so kind as to get one for me and mail it to the US? Evidently, I would pay upfront for the shirt and shipping&handling. If there is such kind soul willing to do this, please PM me.

Thanks a lot!

Title: Re: Tour merch
Post by: Knopflerfan on May 21, 2013, 12:30:49 PM
Allen,
for each tour there are approx 2000 Lithographs produced and they portray Mark and some of the guitars he has used for the last album. Each one is actually 'Handsigned' (not pre-printed) and numbered by Mark himself. They come in an envelope which again states the number in total and the numbered editon you have.
I guess to the likes of me who like collecting 'collectible' items to do with Mark they are 'the law'. I guess thats why I have the three MK Strats because a) they are a wonderful instrument and b) in time they will become very collectible!!

Thank you very much, knopflerfan.  It's the first time I hear about this.  And I'd love to have one.  I found MK 'Get lucky' 2010 Handsigned ltd edition Lithograph 392-2000  http://www.flickr.com/photos/47005/6253583551/

Mark undertaking his daily signing requests. The lithographs are flying out the door so this is a regular occurrence.

I managed to purchase No.177 of only 500 produced tonight in Bournemouth, that was the lowest numbered edition they had - A lovely momento and an added bonus for me is that it actually has the 2003 Fender 'Mark Knopfler' strat on it this tour!!
