That physical sales chart is truly bizarre. I'd be very interested to know how many copies you need to sell to register on it.

Yesterday a friend and customer who knows that I like DS, brought me these pages from a newspaper, that he found in his copy of Communique. 46 years ago, from the USA.

Wow! Thank you vgonis:) I really like archive magazines. The last one I managed to get my hands on is from 1986. Of course, Dire Straits in the lead role :)

You are most welcome! Just realized that the second page is not legible, so here are some clearer photos of the text

Lovely! Poland has some strange and beautiful Dire straits releases, like this one.

Most of them are tapes but the flexi discs are looking lovely, but are hard to find.

It's true. It's an audio postcard. I looked for it, but I couldn't find it. The line is thin, because for decades we were behind the Iron Curtain and piracy was big. :smack

Decent country version of Setting Me Up that was a top 10 country hit apparently:

Setting me up must be the very first cover version of a DS song ever, by Albert Lee. And it has been covered by quite a few musicians. Dire straits songs have been covered by so many people, it is hard to keep up!
One that is quite different, although I find a bit too long and repetitive is this one, that has probably been mentioned before.
