Some really great suggestions here, songs I EXACTLY want to hear:
Marbletown again, On Every Street, The Man's Too Strong, Portobello Belle, Old Pigweed...
I might add from the new album NOT Monteleone, but Before Gas & TV, Cleaning My Gun, Too Far From The Clyde, Piper To The End...
I DO NOT want to hear (anymore)
Done With Bonaparte, Rudiger, Sonny Liston, What It Is (kind of castrated last time, but nevertheless can't hear it anymore), Telegraph Road, So Far Away... Blimey, for some new stuff I could even forswear Speedway!!
My opinion why Mark does not play so much new stuff: He doesn't want to learn so much new live stuff, because that kind of laziness is around him (yes, I know he IS still touring so he is not lazy at all, but I mean it in a special way), playing old tunes is fun for him because he has not to think about it, so play Done with Bonaparte or Walk of Life the bazillionth time... Ok, he should have fun, but why not work something interesting out? Last tour was a good example, the best stuff was the new one like True Love Will Never Fade, Hill Farmer and Marbletown!
Let's hope for some interesting diary entries the next few weeks!
