No track from KTGC is involved this time. That's what happens to the weakest in the litter.

If you mean that in a general way you can add GH to the litter just as much...  :o

Of course not, GH is my favourite, but I tend to grab every chance I can to bash the biggest let-down ever. It's sad not to have any GH songs, there are plenty that would benefit from the skills of McCusker and the two other folk musicians. But KTGC has "always" been the square peg in the round hole. It won't fit in, speaking in terms of playing live - entertaining (not sedating) the paying audience and not just the band members.

I'm thrilled with Cleaning my gun and Prairie Wedding :o

Yeah! I'm thrilled too and looking forward to hearing about their live settings!

I remember seeing a Rickenbacker lap steel in one of the rehearsal pics. Hopefully this is being used somewhere.

I think prairie wedding is an acoustic one, because it's played after marbletown... Like Devil Baby 2008. Not a great version...

I think they will drop Border Reiver and Piper to the end in Europe, because they have a pipes player on tour now...

Could be yes. But hopefully, no. There's too much ambience in this song I think.

Devil Baby is one of those songs that can be played acoustic and still sound great. I just can't hear the muddy Telecaster licks in PW being played on a Martin.

Can you imagine what the SECC in Glasgow will be like if he opens with Border Reiver and closes with Piper to the End? Can't wait till May 21st.

I didn't like the devil baby version of 2008... I am afraid prairie wedding is the same kind of acoustic stuff. I think we hear it soon from the people who have attended the concert ;)

Neither of those songs had pipes on the record. I suppose that they will not use pipes for the tour, too.
Greetings from Cadiz, Spain :-)
