Ooohhhh Knopfling, just like the last Tour, these are BEAUTIFUL pictures again! ...Thank you for sharing!!  :-* You can become a professional photograph! ;)

I wonder if you used a little digital or a single lens reflex camera. Were you also allowed to use the flash at the camera? I ask because I want to take my camera with me also, but am not sure IF or which one is allowed! ::)

Some pro pics from this show by mjbialas:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/29511086@N02/   Not so high resolution, though.

Fieneke, thank you so much!

I actually used to take pictures for the newspapers and magazines I used to work for some 34 years ago, but that was back when it was black and white 35 mm stuff that was much less complicated than digital. The paper where I spent the last 33+ years had a lot of pro photogs that didn't like reporters taking pictures, so I didn't get to do it.

For these concerts, I used a Canon PowerShot S2 IS.
http://reviews.usa.canon.com/3798/11368/reviews.htm
It's a small, fixed-lens camera that has a 10X magnification. Same camera I used for the 2008 tour; my pictures were better in 2008, for some reason.
The S2 complies with MK's photo policy -- no cameras with changeable lenses. And it's nice and light and compact.
Canon is up to the S5 IS, at least, now with a bigger magnification. at least 12X. They have another model with a different designation with a 20X lens.

Thank you for explaining about the camera Knopfling! We have a small digital Nikon camera which is a few years old, I used it for the concert in 2008, but we also have a Nikon D40 with 2 lenses. Here is the link.

http://imaging.nikon.com/products/imaging/technology/archives/digitalcamera/slr/2006/d40/index.htm

I assume I am not allowed to take the big one with me at the concert, so I will have to buy a bigger card for the little Nikon I will use during the concerts. ;)

Fieneke, a friend of mine also has a D40 and loves it. I now have a bigger Canon similar to the D40 but didn't take it to the concert.

You never know. You might be able to get it past security. At the three concerts I attended, no one checked the contents of my bag at the door. The policy says nothing with a removable lens, or something like that. It used to say no professional-type cameras.

I got only a few pictures at Temecula because some security guy told me to stop -- even though other fans and I told him it's allowed. He kneeled at the end of our row and kept glaring at me the rest of the concert to keep me from taking pictures, while other people in nearby rows were taking them.

I just noticed something shallow (well, you know me!). Mark should change is optician. His glasses are too narrow. Look at the hair above his ear, you can clearly see where the glasses left a mark.  ;D

Plus, that shirt looks like a wallpaper.
