Hi there,
Isaac here. Not sure if my name rings a bell (perhaps http://gl.isaac.shabtay.com does)...

Anyway, my flight from Canada to Dublin (through Heathrow) is scheduled to leave Monday evening, 8:50pm Canada time, arriving Heathrow Tuesday 8:50am (London time) and continuing to Dublin on 10:50am. As the Icelandic ash-hole isn't giving any sign of shutting up, there is a slight chance that I will miss the Dublin concert (if I make it to Heathrow, I could still catch the ferry if Dublin is shut down; but if I don't make it to Heathrow, chances of attending Dublin's concert become slim).

As my ticket was purchased through the presales, it may not be very easy to sell as the tickets are on will-call. However, if I'm going to miss the concert (which is unknown at this time), perhaps it would serve the world better if someone else gets to enjoy this concert from the front row, dead centre (Flat Seating X1, Row A, Seat 40 - if you look at the seating chart, that's right at the middle of the front row).

To sum it up: if any of you is going to attend the Dublin concert anyway, and would consider switching his / her ticket to a front-row centre ticket if I am not there (there's a chance that I'll attend it after all if my flight is postponed in a day and all stars align right) then it may work out for both sides. I will email markknopfler.com if (and as soon as) I realize that I can't possibly make it to the concert.

Tricky, I know... that's why I'm suggesting this to people who would not be devastated / angry if I make it to the concert after all.

Price would be face value, not a cent more. The total for me was $96.97 CAD which amounts to 75.61 EUR (after all associated fees). My only condition is that the buyer promises (I can't really enforce this so it may sound silly, but unfortunately I'll have to rely on the buyer's sense of self dignity) to not sell it to scalpers for any profit. Word of honour.

So... let me know. I certainly hope I can still attend the concert.

Screw that ash-hole.

Isaac

Hope you can make it Isaac. On saturdaymorning I hope to fly to Newcastle but I am already checking ferries from Holland to make sure I will be there. I really hope the wind will turn to south in Iceland so that ash-hole will send the ash to the Northpole  ;D
And I hope mk.com will be friendly enough to allow people to collect tickets from someone else.

Hi Isaac,   I'm sure everything will be OK for travelling to Dublin on Tuesday.    The wind is turning to the south and the ash cloud will have moved north.  We will be flying from Manchester to Dublin on Tuesday morning and our seats are Row A #45 & 46, so we will be pretty close to you.  I hope you make it to Dublin OK and I look forward to meeting you there!    :)   BTW Our flight is 10.55 am from Manchester, so if everything is on time we may bump into eachother at Dublin airport.

hi Isaac,
I'm in a similar situation ... for the moment Dublin is closed until 17th 12:00 local time and my flight today from Munich to Dublin (arrival 1:00pm )  was therefore cancelled and we have changed now to arrive in Dublin 10:20pm local time. London was closed this morning for a short time but is open in the meantime. According to Irish aviation they await no ash cloud problems in the next 48 hours. It looks like everything will be OK for you, Val and hopefully also for me.
I am looking forward to meet you and shake hands ... BTW my seat is row A #39

Marky49,   Looks fine to me.  I think the dust cloud is far to the north on those days!   :)

Quote Ingrid: "so that ash-hole will send the ash to the Northpole "

You made me laugh with your comment Ingrid and I could use it!  ;D

I wish you all a lot of luck and sure hope that you all (and also Jans and I next week) won't have a problem with flying to the UK or Ireland!

Have a great time in Dublin!

LOL don't worry Marky49, I am confused with all people going where. I have the tix!! Frontrow (you, me and Pottel). And we see eachother there. I booked the same hotel, the one you recommended, will arrive by car during the afternoon. I have the crossing Calais-Dover at 08.00 in the morning, so will be in Dover around 09.00 (english time) and travel to Bournemouth. So I guess if all go well (however it is a bankholidayweekend) that around 13.00 I will be in Bournemouth. You still have the same phonenumber (end with 52)? I will call you when I am in the neighbourhood so we can start with .............
Fish and chips  ;D  Remember Brighton 2008, fish and chips on the beach  :D
Or something else, somewhere else, I don't care.

Looking forward seeing you, it's been toooooooooooo long ago!

Sorry I scared you to death with my confusion! I have yours for Bournemouth and Frankfurt, you have my tix for RAH first 2 nights and Cologne  ;)

Puh, relieved! All is well.  ;D I'm also confused with 2 little kids running around me... :lol
End 52 is one of my numbers or drop an email. Have my iPhone with me.

I do remember the Fish and Chips in Brighton. If you can make it we can have lunch again.

The list of tickets is correct. And I also have got your Montreux ticket! ;-)
