Hi there,
Isaac here. Not sure if my name rings a bell (perhaps
http://gl.isaac.shabtay.com does)...
Anyway, my flight from Canada to Dublin (through Heathrow) is scheduled to leave Monday evening, 8:50pm Canada time, arriving Heathrow Tuesday 8:50am (London time) and continuing to Dublin on 10:50am. As the Icelandic ash-hole isn't giving any sign of shutting up, there is a slight chance that I will miss the Dublin concert (if I make it to Heathrow, I could still catch the ferry if Dublin is shut down; but if I don't make it to Heathrow, chances of attending Dublin's concert become slim).
As my ticket was purchased through the presales, it may not be very easy to sell as the tickets are on will-call. However, if I'm going to miss the concert (which is unknown at this time), perhaps it would serve the world better if someone else gets to enjoy this concert from the front row, dead centre (Flat Seating X1, Row A, Seat 40 - if you look at the seating chart, that's right at the middle of the front row).
To sum it up: if any of you is going to attend the Dublin concert
anyway, and would consider switching his / her ticket to a front-row centre ticket
if I am not there (there's a chance that I'll attend it after all if my flight is postponed in a day and all stars align right) then it may work out for both sides. I will email markknopfler.com if (and as soon as) I realize that I can't possibly make it to the concert.
Tricky, I know... that's why I'm suggesting this to people who would not be devastated / angry if I make it to the concert after all.
Price would be face value, not a cent more. The total for me was $96.97 CAD which amounts to 75.61 EUR (after all associated fees). My only condition is that the buyer promises (I can't really enforce this so it may sound silly, but unfortunately I'll have to rely on the buyer's sense of self dignity) to not sell it to scalpers for any profit. Word of honour.
So... let me know. I certainly hope I can still attend the concert.
Screw that ash-hole.
Isaac
