Great game by our young team, all my sympathy goes to England, it was a fair game and a real thrill! Only pity is that Rooney wasn't lined up   ...

It was a good game and the young German team played very well BUT if England's 2nd goal hadn't been wrongfully disallowed.... iAT 2-2 it was another game altogether....but that's football for you.

1966 in reverse anyone?  Only that given goal cost Germany the final!  What goes around comes around.

Germany should have been 3 or 4 up at that point anyway so it wouldn't have made any difference - they were by a large margin the better team and worryingly for England fans the younger team too.

well, I don't know, I still can't tell if that goal was in or not in 66. Everybody could see this one WAS, but like I said, that's football, and  as long as the rules about cameras don't change, the ref's word is final. If he says it isn't a goal, then it isn't. It gives us England fans a way out. (well you know, we was robbed!)

At the end of the day the 'far' better team won on the day. Not a huge footie fan but from what I saw it is about time our old millionaires were told to go away and let's do what the Germans have rightly done and invest in some youth!!!

I think Holland, Argentina and Brazil all play efficiently, but their games are boring as hell. I fell asleep during the second half of the Holland game last night.
Germany plays the most enjoyable football - with a few exceptions.
