Monte Carlo gigs
« on: June 30, 2010, 09:01:54 PM »
Hi
Guy reported today in his diary entry from Amsterdam that they work on the key- and drum risers because at the Monte Carlo gig there is not enough space for them. So they have to improvise to get the right size. He also writes:

"Danny will be doing the show with just a snare drum and a cymbal."

I wonder how this could NOT affect the setlist? Sounds like a stripped-down set? Any ideas?

You'd have thought they'd have known the venue restrictions before they booked.  Too bad for those going who expected to hear a standard set but for the die-hard fans like us it may turn out to be very interesting indeed...

Surely this is a joke? Smaller kit maybe but not THAT small.

This is a link to the venue for the Monte Carlo concert.  I thought it was a bit odd that they mentioned how wealthy MK was.   :disbelief

It also says Get Lucky is the central theme for his 2010 tour  - it just shows they write any old crap and we believe it.

Funny that someone can be called the 10th richest British musician in the world. I wonder how he compares to other British musicians in... wait for it... Britain! Surely the stat should be how rich he is compared to all musicians in the world?

This is however better than what I read in a German review last week or was it an Austrian: Mark Knopfler is on tour 2010with his new album "Kill to Get Crimson"... Missed one me thinks...  :disbelief
