Princess Bride soundtrack is perfect.  The Screenplaying cd is also perfect.  It picks the best and most beautiful from the soundtracks, including the unforgettable piece from Last Exit to Brooklyn.   Can't forget the music, but I've forgotten the title.   ::)
But a spoonful of forgiveness
Goes a long, long way
And we all should do our best
To get along

Hmmm, my choices would be...the soundtrack to Cal, followed by Shangri La. I have spent some lovely cold winter nights soaking in the tub with candles all around and listening to SL...and replaying it as I drift off. KTGC works also.

Shangri-la for me!  It is a very comforting album and I love to hear it before I go to sleep and also when I'm away from home or on holiday!   :)  KTGC is OK too!

In the interests of keeping this thread as sweet as it began, I have removed a couple of my posts. Apologies to all concerned.

When I read the title of this thread I thought something like  "Best to have in bed?? " :o .....I know the people here are sometimes crazy and drool about everything, but the bed wasn't mentioned yet ........uuhhh I think!  ;D  Then after reading the messages I realized it was about Mark's songs!  ;D

I would love to listen to all the quiet songs like Shangri-La, Screenplaying and .........aahhhh there are so many! :P

I have to agree with the screenplaying CD.
VERY relaxing. Soundtracks some of Mark's finest work. imho.

Cheers   BBB.

Also 'In The Sky'   (Pure class) gives me goosebumps everytime.!!!!!!!!! :)

The album 'Love Over Gold', was always a favourite when i was a teenager. I always remember listening to it on my Walkman before i went to bed.
Ahhhhhh, they were the days. :) (tapes & vinyl)

I've always liked listening to Dire Straits and Communique in quiet times.
