Hello fellow MK fans! I've been following this forum for a bit now keep up with the latest news in the MK world, and now I finally decided to participate instead of just read! But first, I need to get some n00b problems out of the way... as you can see, I woefully have no avatar. I was gonna upload an image from my computer but got the message that my image was too large; I am assuming it means too large in pixels. So my question is:
What is the largest size (in pixels) that is allowed for an avatar? ???
I would appreciate any help. ;D

Welcome to the best MK forum ever!

Mine is a JPEG near 50 Kb and works just fine.
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

It depends, but the size is measured in pixels. If you upload your avatar to the site, the max is 150 x 225 pixels. If you link to an external image, the max is 170 x 225 pixels. I really dislike forums where they force you to make your avatars extremely small. What's the point in having one if you can't even see what it is? But I think our max sizes are big enough.

I keep getting the message "The avatar you have selected is too large, or not an avatar"
I used an online "avatar shrinker", the picture is only 7kb and pixsize is 170. Photograph is .jpg and is smaller than others I've already seen on this photograph... Please help, what am I doing wrong? :)

If you have Adobe Photoshop (or similar) save it as a GIF file instead of a jpeg and ensure the pixel count is within the limitations as described above (file>save for web).  Mine is a GIF, 154 x 110 and 17.2 Kb. The original was jpeg, 1.3 Mb and 2137 x 1535!
