They said they recorded 29 shows, I remember well.
They recorded all available songs.

Vow, did not know that, good news indeed ! means that somewhere exists a soundboard of '91-92 TOL ? would be awesome !
But just to clarify, when you say "recorded" do you mean audio recording or filming ? I don't think they possibly filmed 29 shows...

Most of the shows they recorded must be the standard setlist... Look to the available soundboards from the OES tour, Woburn Abbey, Basel, Nimes, Earls Court, Oslo (On every planet)... all of them the standard setlist, the same one...

Looks like if they knew they were about to record, and they play that setlist...

Well they made many exceptions, since they also filmed in Nimes and Rotterdam some concerts featuring TOL, FTB, TILYTM, WICTY... Never released them though

No, the one from 1991-92 tour was far better, with that burning hammond, that nice bass intro, the guitars dueling between MK, Phil and Paul Franklin... Wow...

I agree, a real nice blues number when played on the tour.

I seem to remember that the concert from the Copenhagen soundboard had TOL played that night but, of course only part of the concert was broadcast.

"Think I Love You too Much" was a hell of a song. No putting that on the record was one of the more strange decisions in Mark's career. I love that album more than anything, but this I never quite understood. Anyway, there are enough great live versions to enjoy!

The best version IMO is Live at Snape with the Notting Hillbillies.
And yes I could have lived without Calling Elvis or Heavy fuel, and in their place the fantastic I think I love you too much.
Jeff Healey had a minor hit with it, even released a video clip for it. Why not DS?

The "official" reason was that the rest of the band did not like it too much so it was offered to Jeff.

Speaking of the NHB, DS version of "When It Comes To You" was far inferior to what they did.

I dream of a full release of the Snape gig.

I think it works well live because it just "rocks" basically, but I suppose the lyrics are nothing special so maybe on the album it would have been just average.  We shall never know...

Funny thing is that when I met MK in 2001 after the concert in Glasgow I "told" him to put the song on the next album!  Guess he must have forgot my instruction!

It's like releasing Private Dancer on a new MK album. Doesn't make sense actually (or does, depends on how much you like the song). I recall ITILYTM was written by MK for Jeff Healey's album called Hell to Pay from 1990, so there is a studio version of the song.

But how the hell did we end up here? Has nothing to do with a deluxe edition or what?
