Nigel Hitchcock on sax

The booklet lists Nigel Hitchcock as sax player.
Does anyone else think that Chris White's involvement with The Straits has put an end to working with Mark?

Interesting. It's not like Chris was busy for the entire time it took to record this album and Mark used him on KTGC which wasn't that long ago (2007).

Of course Guy would say that Hitchcock's style was better suited for the part required;  more suspenseful sounding!

Surely Mark must have been VERY annoyed by that "Straits" thing. And how ridiculous it is, anyway: to be your own cover band ...

I bet he won't work with any of them again, ever. And rightly so.

It is just a very small sax part in "Radio City Serenade" - and a very nice string part - film music like...
maybe there was no need to book Chris White and this Nigel was just available via Rupert Gregson-Williams who did the orchestral "oversee and conduct".

Mark now has no right to angry over bands who do covers of songs.

That's very possible. And "Nigel Hitchcock" is a much cooler name than "Chris White", anyway.

Well, I guess he just finds it embarrassing. Which it is.

Ah, dmg, I'm seeing your point now. Because of Miss You Blues, you mean. A slightly different case, though.

I bet Mark couldn't give an utter toss who works with who.... Jesus, he's a musician who probably just enjoys trying different musicians from time to time. Why do some people over analyse way too much?

The psychology of musicians can't be overanalyzed.
