There are some lovely old thatres in the States and some of them Dylan has played at in order to help them. I can't say if he did so specifically in respect of the Eastman Theatre in Rochester NY but that was super inside.

It's understood that even John Fairweather designed the Edinburgh Playhouse on The Roxy in New York.

MK's list
1. What It Is
2. Corned Beef City
3. Privateering
4. Kingdom of Gold
5. Used to Could
6. Sonny Liston
7. Knoxville (Band Intros)
8. Hill Farmers Blues
9. Haul Away
10 Marble Town
------------------------
11 So Far Away

Highlights for me were Hill Farmers Blues and Privateering, the former is a great jam.

As noted, MK played a few songs with Dylan.   First time seeing Dylan, enjoyed the music and entertainment, not sure what he was singing more than half the time though.

Sarcasm does not become you, mr pottel. I am always happy to acknowledge errors, to admit omissions and to credit others.  I also admit to a failing memory.

The Edinburgh Playhouse is a very fine venue. I was disappointed when one show I was to attend there got kicked down the road to a mere sports arena on one occasion. Was that a Mark show?

That may be Marks' show in '96 that was moved to Meadowbank Sports Arena, but the original venue was The Usher Hall.  This was due to strong winds damaging the roof of The Usher Hall at the time.

Again, I admit my failing memory. I'm sure that must have been what was in my mind. Gosh, was that 1996?

I have less fond memories of shows at the Usher Hall, I have to say.  Mind you, Meadowbank Sports Arena is hardly a prime venue for music.

I don't know, it has it's advantages.  Off hand I can't think of any, but I'm sure there must be one!

I remember being worried at the time because I knew the Usher Hall was damaged, having seen it on the local news and a few days later I received a letter to tell me of the venue change.

Also, I recall that they were taking a lot of pictures at the show and on our seats was a slip of paper to inform us we could order sets of professionally taken pictures during the show.

about failing memory, I love this alzeihmer joke from Guy bedos (french humorist) :

 alzheimer has 3 advantages :
1) you don't have bad remembrances
2) you always see new people
3) you don't have bad remembrances
