I wonder if Nigel has been rehearsing the long version of SOS with the band.   Maybe that is why the short version is having a rest - maybe waiting for the RAH!   :)

Your attempts to alleviate my stress over dropping Sultans - kindly though they are - are futile I'm afraid.  I no longer hold any hope for it being played again. :'(

The only DS songs that are safe in this (and the next) tour are R&J and TR.
To be honest i also have my doubts about TR on the next tour..........  :think

Regarding TR:  it seems to me now that he's in quite some discomfort playing just a short solo as it now stands so it makes Speedway the stand-out guitar solo of the concert.  It was certainly the best tune last night.

Sad and strange to hear... When the tour started I thought his playing was better than ever over the last 10 years, and "Sultans" sounds really great when it is played. Is TR so much more difficult?

Last night he was playing a little bit like he didn't want to make any mistakes.  He was very good last night, but I felt he was holding back a little on the fast bits.  Kind of restrained.  Very good though and only one noticeable mistake.

Just read Guy's forum and he said Mark spoke to the audience and explained that it had been John's party last night and said he might be a bit wobbly!     Maybe this was why he played so carefully!   Just a thought!    :)    I think it had been quite a party!  Apparently there had been a few casualties!   ;D    Sore heads too, no doubt!    :lol

Yes, remember him saying that.  Don't want to sound spoil sport, but should they be celebrating like that while on tour? ???  I could see his hand shaking at the start of Going Home! :o

I was thinking that MK was probably playing very carefully in the same way that someone a bit worse for drink, speaks very carefully!   ;D   I say that from experience!    :lol

Going Home.  You can't see much but it's full length sound:

Great! Really great! He could join the rest of the tour only for that song in my opinion. Stunning version. Best in years!
