Banned?

I am not used to see people banned from this forum and I wonder why Roland Dent has been kicked off, as apparently there are no sign of offensive message (unless I missed it)

I guess you missed them, some were clever hidden, 
I am no editor/mod. but I can say they gave him a fair chance.
He was monitored well in every corner of this form not only by the mods.
As you said , it "almost" never happens , and I felt sorry it did... for this forum!

I don't know if it was the sum or a one specify comment which made the mods to decide a ban,
I saw one which was good enough for me!

So in this case I totally back up the mods/editors in this ban. (though it felt like he wanted to )
thx to everyone involved  in defending this form ,from people like that.

Hi ds1984, we don't ban people as a regular action. I hope you know that. As editors we had contact about it and it's a decision with 100% votes. Some posts have been deleted. So you might not have read them.
Not wanting to go in detail, the attempts to fire things up, trying to be insulting and disrespectfull made us decide so. It only happened once before in our almost 5 year of history. There were warnings before he got banned.

I hope you trust us and know this is not a light decision. We don't want this to be a overmoderated forum. But we can't allow people who try to ruin our beautiful community which created a lot of friendships and where it's allowed to have good discussions without being rude or disrespectfull. I hope this time was again the last one in coming 5 years or longer.

Thank you enlight for your positive words. It was indeed a sum of things.

I see we are diametrically opposed.  The good the good thing is that all of the posts are recorded.  In a professional capacity now is a good time to check which national territory your host is registered. If it is in the USA then I would get it transferred.

Nothing at all wrong with closed communities.  So Ingrid what exactly disturbs you?  No one is seeking to rob you of your power on this site.  Why not follow Pottels suggestion and close the site altogether then you won't have to contend wth legislation.  If the site were closed to the public you can post anything you like about anybody legally.
