If body is non-genuine, check if it has nitro or poly finish, simply put a light on it and see if you can sight the wood grain underneath the lacquer.

Keep your head. Check if you can with the seller. Ask in detail.
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

It is pretty much new, I've been e-mailing Fender regarding this sent them pictures and all relevant information and today they confirmed that it was authentic. Such a relief, I probarly should have done more research and asked for clearer pictures but I only had 30 mins to make the decision! thanks for your help guys

Very strange. Did they confirm that some strats were issued with blank neck plates?

 :hmm :hmm
Did you manage to ask the seller whether he kept the original neck plate - Can' believe it would have worn that badly?

The seller hasn't messaged much since I bought it, I don't think it would have worn because the guitar is in new condition. I've had Fender look into it and tell me that its genuine. For as long as I own it it will not bother me that much because I know its genuine its just if I ever parted with it.

Problem will be of you try to sell it. Personally I would be taking it apart to make sure everything is right.

What is the production date from Fender for this guitar? and have you confirmed the date given by Fender with the dates on the neck inner?

Knopflerfan, I think you confused SE00100 Strat with AKW1987's one.

A 9 year old guitar that looks like new but someone has felt the need to replace the the neckplate?

Sorry, but alarm bells ringing all over the place for me here. With the greatest respect for Fender, I don't believe you can say for certain that the guitar is legit based on photographs.
