They are great guitars, and I found that the MK model is somehow more "grown up" than my Fender Mexico & Japan built Strats. perhaps it's just a slightly thicker neck & rosewood fretboard, but that's the feeling I get when I play it.  :think   ;D

I was at the stage of nearly having built my own MK Strat but was having trouble getting the "Hot Rod" red paint in Nitro - if anyone is interested in my copy Strat then let me know but be aware the 2 pc Alder body is Nitro Sealed but unpainted.

Hi Nelly,

I would estimate between 12,500 - 13,000 MK Strats were produced between July 2003 & March 2013...but I will ask Fender.......Will confirm soon...

Holgar-MK - absolutely beautiful guitar and such neat signatures too.... I wouldn't want to use the guitar with fear of 'rubbing' the signatures off.. I guess that is why I opted for all the labels from my brood to be signed instead...
