Holgar-MK - absolutely beautiful guitar and such neat signatures too.... I wouldn't want to use the guitar with fear of 'rubbing' the signatures off.. I guess that is why I opted for all the labels from my brood to be signed instead...

you have to be a little careful with the signatures but my MK Strat is predominantly in a showcase because I

     I was just looking in the list of owners & thinking there are some big jumps in the serial numbers.  As the list grows you would expect that there should be a fairly equal distribution due to "randomness"  but there seem to be a few gaps when you get into the higher numbers.  I wonder if the SE***** sequence is continuous or whether later batches start with a new series of numbers which do not follow on from the previous batch.

Looking at the Fender website I see the SE sequence was used as a "signature series" serial number in the late 80's  and so perhaps not restricted to the MK model.

Holger_MK - name updated!! and like you have numerous 'MK' Autographs (obtained from the man himself!) but my three individual signed Fender MK Strat manufacture labels are by far the best I have!!

I find the whole serial number thing very interesting indeed and love the concept that we have some MK's registered throughout the world and it's nice to see where they are. 
I have emailed Fender to get an idea hopefully of how many were built over the 10 year(ish) period....

Nice one, congratulations! Probably 2003 or early 2004. For obliging facts you will have to unscrew the neck.

SE00919 Is gonna be a late 2004/Early 2005 edition but to get a manufacture date, email Fender..

Hi Guys, just a quick note to say that due to a change in circumstance (and the drastic need to reduce my guitar collection!) my Knopfler Strat Serial number S00294 will be going live on e('vil') bay in the next few days.

Well, my new baby  Iit really is like brand new, had to carefully remove all the protection films (including the horrible blue stuff on the case latches!) as it's goin to be played not just kept in it's case  -  well happy!!
