Cool amp. Is it definitely a 68? I thought they moved to Silverface in 68.

Yes you're right so I guess it must be a late 67 but I've always referred to it as a 68 pre silver face

There's no hard and fast rules on these things, could well be an early 68.

There shoulf be a tube chart inside that will tell you. Transformers will be stamped also - I was able to date my Fender Concert to the third week of December 1964.

Well, my new baby  Iit really is like brand new, had to carefully remove all the protection films (including the horrible blue stuff on the case latches!) as it's goin to be played not just kept in it's case  -  well happy!!
Serial Number reads SE05564 - any idea of age anyone?

Welcome to the owners list, your beautiful guitar has been added. I would think the guitar is a 'late' 2009/ Early 2010 but you may like to email Fender the 'serial' number to get a more precise date....

Hi Guys, just a quick note to say that due to a change in circumstance (and the drastic need to reduce my guitar collection!) my Knopfler Strat Serial number S00294 will be going live on e('vil') bay in the next few days.

Should anyone on here be interested then please get in touch as I'd far prefer it to go to someone who really appreciates what it is and what it represents.
