The joke is even funnier when you discover that they use just one channel to the three folkies together  ;D :lol

I think since this is a group channel, it doesn't automatically mean they didn't have separate channels for each folkie. I can't believe they've used just one channel for many instruments, it would be too old school even for MK. What baffles me more is that according to this desk, this album revolves around KEYS more than it revolves around mk gtr + vocal lol.

That album was Tracker.

In the various pictures of the sessions you can be the follies playing together. Even each would have its own mic, the sound of the rest will be captured as well...
You might get lucky, now and then

Yeah, but that’s ok, just like when you record drums for example. I’m not surprised Mark likes this approach actually. I remember him saying that live studio recordings are cool because it allows instruments to breath through others or something like that. To be honest I’m not sure if it was Mark or Clapton.

They have many channels for the folkies, you can't have 5 mics that all go to a single channel. One way or another you have to mix them and it only makes sense to do so at a desk - this one or any of the other ones they have. Each mic has it's own channel and then they are mixed together and sent to a group channel.

cannibals and suddenly, I hope it can be a replay. Only on the MKNews website one word: >completion< in March takes away my hope.

Which hope?

March as a completion date was announced long ago, I think in the summer... Do you think completion would change its meaning from them to today?  ;D

A tour this year could happen still... The record would be probably released in September, as usual with MK and lately MK has toured North America in October or November.

Since he's been out of touring since November 2015, he might release in September and start his tour in NA in October, stop at December and come back to Europe in march 2019...

That's been my bet since march 2018 was announced as completion date.
You might get lucky, now and then
