You thought I can't play guitar anymore? But there's some songs in Mark's Songbook, that you can play even with your hand being stitched and bandaged. You can't play like that for a long time. But How Long? Let's see...

Nice attempt (the guitar playing in that condition) at destroying your hand forever but you have to work harder to reach me

I know that's not a good idea, but I'd had bad sleep with this idea only in my head. And I was pretty close to not be able to see this world, let alone playing guitar. I got extremely lucky that I still can play. You can lose it any moment and by you I mean any human being. Keep safe people.

Pavel is not only a genius playing guitar, even more, he spend his time teach us how to play step by step these wonderful songs.
I'm learning a lot with his classes on youtube, so I'm really grateful to him.
Thanks again, Pavel. I hope you return soon to play with 5 fingers :-)
Regards
César (trullols)

Done With Bonaparte... This one is a big request, despite being a rather simple 4 chord song. But I can get why it's so appealing — it's international, it's historical, it's not too simple, but with a twist, and not too difficult. The song lies somewhere in the golden ratio. That's why the album's called Golden Heart? 😅

Got my first 1,000 of thumbs up ever on the video about the song Money For Nothing. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it surely means a lot and not so easy to achieve (try it and you'll know what I mean). I'm so flattered so many people care, and the response is always super nice and all the emails are totally inspiring. I'm always inspired and ready to work, regardless of any numbers, now I'm off to the next milestone which is the first 1,000,000 of combined MKSB views. Thanks for watching, Pavel F.

I have a song request form on the website and there's many requests for the song It Never Rains. I though — how on Earth you can play this? But as it turned out, with enough work you can actually play it and it's one of the most enjoyable songs I re-discovered lately. At first it's a complete mess, but as soon as you would get all the parts on its own and then put it all together, suddenly it sounds amazing. So I totally recommend this song for learning and transcribing.

When You Leave from Mark's new album is a jazzy ballad, but it's more like a "regular" Mark Knopfler's song dressed up in jazzy clothes. Slow Learner is 100 times more jazz than this song. It's difficult to explain, but at least I tried. When You Leave is hard to play if you opt for playing the whole song including the piano chords. Piano chords always give guitar players some pain, but it's possible to play it in a more simple fashion.

“What I try to do with a song is craft it. I try to craft a song with pride and I try to make something that's going to last” — Mark said that in his A Life In Songs Documentary. This is true for a vast majority his songs, but In The Sky, being the closing track of his 2007 album Kill To Get Crimson, stands the test of time extremely well. I can't even start to discuss how masterfully this song is arranged, the beauty of lyrics, the exceptional sonic qualities of this recording. Everything's exceptional about it, including transcribing process. This song took too much time to learn, so it's time to stop. Yesterday I saw a poster saying “Done is better than perfect” and today I upload this on YouTube. I'm extremely displeased with the results, but it's the best I can offer anyway, so thanks for watching. Pavel.
