I think MK has the plans to do another record, but they haven't started yet, so Guy doesn't know at this point. So if it's true, it's probably gonna take a long time (years) before there is a new album out.
Mark confirmed last week, in an interview with Le Parisien, that there is a new album coming but doesn't know when it will be out.

I think MK has the plans to do another record, but they haven't started yet, so Guy doesn't know at this point. So if it's true, it's probably gonna take a long time (years) before there is a new album out.

Guy has answered questions about potential new albums in a similar manner in years gone by. Until work has actually begun on the record in earnest, I doubt Guy will be able to say much about it. But he has said that ‘there are always songs’, so he is probably aware that a new recording project with Mark will almost inevitably come along at some point. It’s just a question of when. I find it highly improbable that Mark would record a new album without Guy’s involvement.

I think it’s also worth pointing out that the long gap between Down the Road Wherever and One Deep River was not something Mark would have anticipated. He intended to go into the studio at sometime around Spring 2020. Then the lockdowns happened, so the work was delayed, and then it was further elongated by more lockdowns / social distancing. And then there was more work to do on the Local Hero project when it was staged at Chichester. So I feel that any potential new MK album would hopefully not take so long this time around.

With regards to the documentary, I am extremely keen to see this given the quality of the five minute film we’ve already seen from the Tracker era, and especially as some of it was filmed down here in my neck of the woods in the New Forest!

Why not? Just do it! Just see how it goes and how the vibes are during the event. Good luck!  :wave

I still think that ODR is MK's last album. However, if there was a next and last album, I think that will ne a blockbuster. Full of Rock Songs and synthetizers.

The film is completed and i've been told the release is this year, but there is no official announcement yet and also no known release date (info from feb 2025)
Good news. A releasedate this year.

If the documentary is titled: "One Song At A Time" we can expect the Down The Road Wherever album to be included, but is there a chance there will be something about the last album?  :think
