I'm off now to watch a play about Lord Byron on TV - I think Stephen Fry played him a long time ago, too!   Bye, ladies!   ;)

What programme is it on? We have Sky here...

It was on Channel 4 and it was more of a documentary with Rupert Everett following the final weeks of Lord Byron across Europe to when he died.  I really enjoyed it!   BTW I think it may have been Oscar Wilde who Stephen Fry played, a long time ago not Lord Byron, but I could be wrong!   ;D   :-\

I also think it's a hallucination but I hope it's real... He's been hallucinating a bit too much lately. Time for some real action
And I love the scene where he's stealing the basketball from the claustrophobic guy. Ahh, I can't wait until Sept 21! One week after the GL release. We have two things to look forward to! I'll make sure to buy enough Red Bull cans so I can make it through the livestream that night
Where do you watch the livestream? I've small kids, so need to get up early.

Stephen Fry portrayed Oscar Wilde in 1997, not sure about Lord Byron. I've worked until midnight to close an annoying security gap on a website. Puh!

The links become available at very short notice, sometimes half an hour before the show starts. We usually exchange them in the chatroom over at drhouseforum.de or via Skype. Yes, the season premiere is going to be tough since it will run from 2 am til 4 am... I'll see if I can stay awake. Fortunately I needn't get up that early on Tuesdays. My Skype name is goldenheart96 if you want to watch with me and chat a bit  :)

Cool, thanks. Yes, we can make that, I've Skype installed on my MacBook Pro.
We've been in San Francisco and LA end of June (to see some EC gigs) and I'd to check some places in LA like the Fox studios and his amazing home in the Hollywood Hills. Couldn't resist, but from far away, not sneaking over the fence. I still wonder how he can live all the time in LA and wife and kids are in England. Must be tough. Although the boys are at university now and not at home anymore. I met his wife Jo a few times on our street, she is very small, but cude. She even came and looked at my small daughter Mandy.

That's cool, Jo looks like a nice lady indeed. Even though she's only half of Hugh's size  ;D Do you know if they offer guided tours through the Fox lot? I MUST go there and see the sets for myself as long as House is still on the air  :P  I also wonder how Hugh manages to get through his everyday life without his familly... I remember he once said he's glad he has to work all day so he doesn't get insane.
It was nice to hear they spent last Christmas together in LA with Stephen.
Okay then, will add you on Skype later today, am at the office right now  :)

No, they don't offer tours, that's what we've been told. Entrance can be obtained by obtaining free audience ticket's to watch their live TV shows & recordings. But dramas are closed sets and do not allow audiences to view while filming. :(
Nevertheless, quite a few of the older Hollywood studios are well worth viewing from the outside for their look alone.

Miriam, have you seen the new promo pics of House/Hugh Laurie? What a man, what a man... ::)

I hope he'll be in London at Thanksgiving. I need to watch out for our neighbour. Can't resist!  :D

Yeah, those new promo pics are awesome! And even though I don't like snakes, I like the one on that snakesonacane.com website the most  8)
Although I have to say I prefer Hugh with longer hair  ;D
BTW have you read the latest spoilers for the Season 6 premiere? Someone has already seen it and posted some spicy details. OMG OMG! Now I'm even more jealous of Franka Potente and I can't wait until Sept 21!!  ;D

Ohh, that BFTV vid reminds me I finally need to order the DVD  :o

I'd love to know more about the Lord Byron play.   How was it.
But a spoonful of forgiveness
Goes a long, long way
And we all should do our best
To get along

I read the reviews, of course. I was really surprised that Franka is House's lover, but I'm curious to see how they filmed those sex scenes. I've heard of 'wall sex' and 'chair sex'. :o
I saw Jo a few days ago when I came back from the SAP office, and I always wonder how she feels when her husband is so far away (reminds me of MK) and filming those scenes. How does that work for a marriage?
We'd quite a hard time when my husband was all the time in England and I was in Germany which is only one hour on a plane away, but LA? 11.5 hrs on a plane is really bad! At least we were able to change that...

Which House forum do you follow?
The snake picture is a fake, isn't it? You cannot make snakes do this...Hugh would be dead now.

Forgot to mention: The BFTV CD/DVD is very nice. I bought it when it came out and I love 'Lean on me'. It's not too hard to play as the fingers stay pretty much in the same shape all the time. Also the band interview is cool. My son is only interested in the drum kit there, dw drums - one of the best.

I follow almost all House forums and some of the LJ sites  ;D Someone sent me a pretty detailed description of the sex scene: First they dance, then they go to an abandoned office... Then it's making out against the wall and then they wind up in a chair... They're grinding against each other, House's face is between her breasts...  :o But he still wears his t-shirt  ;D (Damn, I want to see it!)
I can imagine very well that it's not easy for Jo and him to handle the distance. He has said plenty of times he'd go insane if he weren't working all the time anyway. As for jealousy... If I was Jo, I'd be much more concerned about Lisa Edelstein. The way she talks about Hugh in interviews makes me cringe sometimes. She can't wait for the next hot scene, she made out with him, he's super hot etc etc. Really, I think she has a major crush on Hugh. Either that or she just doesn't know how and when to stay professional, IDK  :-\

About the snakes: Well, Katie Jacobs said they used real snakes for the shoot, and Hugh even asked about their names... They do look fake but maybe the picture has been photoshopped?  ???

Wow! Can you PM me the 'details'? Which LJ sites do you follow? I wish I would have more time ... but family goes first. Thanks!!
I also noticed LE, she is VERY interested in HL and sometimes I think they are a couple...how they look at eachother and smile, body language! I've my doubts that he is faithful.  :'(
