Thanks for sharing, but I don't want to install some dodgy movie search software. Could you share the file via wetransfer.com instead?

Man, Mark is still so harsh on David, I can't believe it. You think that time is the greatest healer of all... times, but it wouldn't help these two.

Also, I love how Mark is getting more and more grumpy as hell, making harsh statement about everything and dropping occasional F-bombs.

Because I think it's all about getting more and more honest with this world, I find myself moaning about it every day, too, so I can relate.

I would agree with you here.  I'm beginning not to like the man actually.

I understand how you feel, dmg.    However, he always comes over much nicer in interviews for TV and radio than in interviews for magazines.  The printed word generally seems much harsher for some reason.  I think it's necessary to see him face to face or hear him say the words.  :)

Brian Johnson birthday is in October, I think this interview was made a few months ago.

Very good interview. The journalist clearly knows how to avoid questions that lead to the default Knopfler answers. It's also interesting to see how many details Mark remembers from the early years of his career. Many times before he has just answered "oh, I don't know" as if he doesn't remember, but that's obviously just an excuse because the topic doesn't interest him.

Very surprised to read that he and Brian Johnson actually are pals. Fellow Geordies and musicians that's one thing, but actual 'buddies'? Who'd have thunk!

Again, the f-bombs just don't suit him.

Best MK interview I've come across in many many years. Thanks for that.
