This particular track by The Roots is so groovy and bluesy, the song itself sounds like Mark would want to do it, except for the vocal bit of course :lol No instance of bad music so far in his jukebox.

I totally agree with you!  :thumbsup

Not my favorite episode this. Good music overall, but very mellow (mellow is where Mark has been at for the last 10-15 years, so no surprise there really). I actually enjoyed the "roots hip hop".

Today’s episode promises to be good! Judging from the excerpt on Mark’s social media.

and the 2nd time he mentioned "my brother David"

It was so brief I didn’t even notice the mention ???

And he says "my brother David" so naturally that it sounds like nothing wrong happened.

But at the same time when mentions Illsley he says something like my very big pal ir something like that...
You might get lucky, now and then

Yes, thanks so much! Amazing to hear I Just Called To Say I Love You here... And it's amazing how the music can connect people. When I was 4 or 5, I remember this song when we traveled across the country with my family in mid 90s, it was already a classic, though only a 10 years old song. This song brings me so many memories from that trip, as well as many other late 80s and early 90s classics. Knowing that Mark has the same kind of an affection for it is eye opening really.

In a way, a missed opportunity to feature another great cover by The Shadows.

Again a BIG thank you, Binone!  :wave I enjoyed the show a lot.

Thanks to Mark I made a big discovery today. Phil Lee!
Since I`ve never heard of this artist before, I looked him up and learned that he is a singer/songwriter from Nashville.
Great voice, great songs. I need to hear more of him.

The biggest surprise for me was to learn that When You Leave is the only MK track without Mark playing any guitar on it. That’s pretty cool. Richard does a fine job there indeed, and he obviously feels very comfortable in this jazzy environment
...Well, he's a big star now but I've been a fan of his for years. The way he sings and plays guitar still bring me to tears...
