I'd pay just to watch him noodle on the guitar.

Yeah, that would be great!
Anyway, I would watch even when he was reading a book. Love his voice.

Yep, Id'do as well.
And she's sitting in her Lusso, in the early morning sun.

Just like he did on that French TV show from the early 80's
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

I remember how mesmerised I was watching this clip as a kid, downloaded it somewhere in mid 2000s and watched over and over. The sound, the feeling, the groove, I think anybody who have ears can agree — that man's playing is something else. The sad part, though, is that you can play exactly all the same notes but you can't recreate this unique MK touch which he's famous for. Of course I'd love to hear more MK with an acoustic guitar, but it seems he gets more and more uncomfortable with less instruments and musicians, so it probably won't happen.

Even with Matchstik Man, he could've played it alone on tour and it would have a bigger impact, but he dramatically changed the arrangement.

To get the best out of every song we all know that Mark likes to experiment a lot. I think he did a great job on the live version of Matchstick Man.
In my view it was very beautifully arranged.

This is all the heaven we've got right here where we are in our shangri-la.

Absolutely it was! I just thought Mark would play it alone especially after such a moving speech.

I think he meant the one from circa 82 "les enfants du Rock" By De Caunes
there is a small DS story, then an interview and then Mark is noodling on the Gibson Chet Atkins nylon guitar. He plays some different riffs : freeway flyers, mississippi blues, etc...

I think he could play anything, if we keep in mind that he actually composes the songs on an acoustic guitar by himself, anything is possible, even telegraph road

Of course TR was composed on piano by Alan Clark.  ;)

I though Alan Clark had composed the so-called movie segment in the middle of TR and was angry that MK had never really acknowledged the fact, the rest of the song has a strong MK print on it. But I might be wrong

Yes, that one, the video is quite dark, but you can see Mark, but the playing is wonderful.
