I always thought it was a massive shame that there was never any soundboard evidence of the Kill to Get Crimson tour. Mark and the band really took their game to the next level at that point. I had hoped we might one day get some official downloads of shows from 2008 but it becomes more unlikely as time goes on. I believe there was a soundboard recording of one of the Albert Hall shows which had been captured from the band’s in-ear monitor radio signal, but it was quickly intercepted and (perhaps understandably) disallowed from being shared. So this is the nearest we have ever had to a complete recording of one of these shows.

It’ll be interesting to see how long this video remains live on YouTube…!

interesting for the video part above all,
the low sound dynamic makes it not much enjoyable, an excellent AUD would sound better

A great find after all these years!

Like many others I'm really intrigued as to the original source. The initial sound gaps at the beginning sound like uhf transmitter dropouts. The mix is dry and highly compressed making it unlikely to be a FOH mix. Sounds more like a monitor mix, especially the way marks guitar and the voices are so prominent.

I'm glad to read this, after reading so many times that the KTGC tour was the begining of the end, a "major drop in guitar playing"... Even dmg seems to appreciate the tour now ! :)
Yes there were some unfortunate things in this tour, such as the infamous "karaoke mode" for TR... but this tour also brought HFB, hands down one of Mark's best solo songs live ! So even though I think the 2010 GL tour was better executed, I still like 2008 very much...

Yes, that was the tour that someone broke into the in ear monitors. Still want to punch that person in his/her face (kidding) as it ruined my meet and greet. ::) :disbelief :lol Guy was so busy trying to fix the system and making it more secure that he forgot about the M&G. Can’t blame them in the end, but it pretty sucks I can gell if you’re waiting in front of the arena with a printed email and everyone is telling you you’re an idiot trying to get in there. :smack

Anyway, this recording of the Greek is nice! :clap

Where was Michael McGoldrick?

John joined the touring band in 2008. Mike didn’t join until the Get Lucky tour in 2010.

Oh, you mean the soundboard audio from today? I didn't do it. Just imagine, because I can't talk about that. Once upon a time...
