Hallo, Kay! If you're gonna attend the MK gigs in Norway or some of the others, please tell Pottel by posting here: http://www.amarkintime.org/forum/index.php?topic=760.120 By now it seams I'll be the only member of AMIT that's going to be at the Norwegian Wood Festival, but I don't think so..

Is this the official chart position for Germany? You know, the mediacontrol one... Because last time I checked, GL wasn't even in the top ten. Little confused  ???

# 47 "FIRST WEEK-IN" in Australia. probably will drop out next week?

Mark is hardly known here with just 1 tour since 1992, and no radio play at all that I am aware of.
I think Fletch wrote in another thread, a lot of Aussies radio stations have zero taste when it comes to the music they churn out.

I know it's not important but Peter f%%king Andre sold more records in the UK this week than Mark Knopfler. Seriously I dont care which number Get Lucky sits at but to get beaten by Peter knobhead Andre is awful.

This is the kind of thing I used to get upset about, but now I look at the long game. I remember being really upset that Robson and Jerome got to number one ahead of The Beatles' comeback single in 1996, but since then I've come to realise that there are a load of fucking idiots in the world and it doesn't really matter that they buy shit music, I just keep out of their way. Remember, Peter Andre can't sell out the Albert hall for a week. And if MK could be bothered reforming Dire Straits he would sell a lot more albums, but clearly he doesn't care.

I really don't bother about it anymore. Here in Holland there are some singers that really don't deserve the name. They have songs which are only good enough when you drank at least 10 pints, then you can sing along with it and don't feel ashamed anymore. But... it seems people who didn't drink buy it as well in big numbers. It's not even music! Most of the time eletronic devices only!

What irritates me a bit is that "Border Reiver" didn't even get in to the "A" list on BBC Radio 2 and even then it was played at some strange times!  ::)  I hope they try a lot harder when "Remembrance Day/Piper to the End" comes out as the single for the Poppy Appeal.  :-\

It will be criminal if Remembrance doesn't do well in the charts..... It's all down to the promotion sadly and if they don't pull their fingers out of where the sun don't shine than I will be do disappointed  :-[
