And of course the girl with tears in her eyes during Brothers In Arms on On The Night. It's hard to forget.

I know the way I can see by the moonlight
Clear as the day
Now come on woman, come follow me home

In 1985, when i first heard Dire Straits music in my life, Brothers in arms drove tears in my eyes, rapidly.  Absolutely amazing, what music can do with your emotions and thaughts. That was my start to follow Marks finest music. 8)

I find there's something very special in the On the night live version of Brothers in Arms, some time after that pedal steel solo I always get a bit teary eyed and goosebumps.

RIGHT

I know some people for some reason constantly bash the On The Night album (WHY?), but yeah, Brothers In Arms is absolutely epic there. Monumental version, I also love Mark's simple outfit with a white T-shirt.

I liked MK in the white T-shirt too, much nicer than the blue and white striped vest at Basel!

That vest was a crime. Unbelievable. Ed, or anyone in the band, should have made sure it "got lost" somehow.

Mark's music doesn't make me cry, but the last two verses of Telegraph Road make me a little emotional, especially the Alchemy version. He puts so much emotion into his singing there. Great performance.
