If you read Guy’s forum he writes there is more in the pipeline. So maybe there are more recordings coming hopefully
What about a live cd from the BIA tour. When they were the biggest band in the world??

And Sydney, for example. April 26, 1986? :)
I know the way I can see by the moonlight
Clear as the day
Now come on woman, come follow me home

It is just strange to put out a full boxset of live recordings of almost evey DS tour and leave the biggest tour with the best selling album out.   :think

Because this is a "live records" box similar to the previous "studio records" boxes.

But with an extra like the Rainbow 79 and extra stuff in the other records.

They could had put as an extra one from the BIA tour but, I prefer the Rainbow 79!
You might get lucky, now and then

The official email says they will be releasing Live Videos on youtube on the run up to November.

Yeah, hopefully from 1979 (Probably that one wasn't filmed) or unreleased tracks... Bet they will post Walk of Life from On the Night or something  ::)

The version published of SOS from new Rainbow '79 is the same audio than Arena '80.
Check 3'10" on Blu-Ray version and 5'52" on new 21th December version.

Additionally, If PB is from 22 July, and maybe the rest of extras from Alchemy, they don't glue with old mix from 1983. They can glue with stereo 2010 mix from Blu-Ray. So, maybe there is a new alchemy live integrally from 22 July? Guy Fletcher omitted it intentionality? Remember that he said that only new unreleased material is remixed, the rest is remastered, check the difference.

So they edited the extras from the 22nd with the current tracks from the 23rd...

We don't know yet, it is a possibility, or maybe a new Alchemy full from 22th.

My point! Why leave 85/86 out???
Perhaps MK or JI will give an interview when the album is out or do you think they will pas on let's say any promo stuff around the first new DS album in years??

Anyone who is familiar with the sound of Dire Straits live at the end of the Communiqué tour, knows that the vibe of the sound we will encounter at the concert at Rainbow Theater 79 had its beginnings at the first show of the second American tour - 08.09.79, Orpheum, Boston, USA. In terms of tone, equipment, texture, new songs and new arrangements, all of this was developed during the second American tour between September and October 79 and culminated in the original lineup's last show, at the Rainbow Theater, December 21, 1979. For this reason it is always good to revisit two incredible bootlegs, 09/08/79, Orpheum, Boston, USA and 09/11/79 Palladium, New York, USA, or  Amsterdam 1979   04.11.79 Carré, Amsterdam, Holland,  09.11.79, Messehalle, Cologne, Germany and 09.11.79, Messehalle, Cologne, Germany, because what lies ahead is pure gold!

If you are on Instagram there is a clip from Sultans from the Rainbow and it sounds really really good.

I've managed to download the three 'sampler' tracks from the Rainbow in 1979 (DTTWL, LW & SOS) and they are all very awesome....

Everybody misses something from the BIA tour, but nobody seems to miss something from the OL tour...
Yet, epic versions of Lions, News, WDYTYRG, Angel of Mercy, the first version of TR, Skateway... would be awesome to have in great quality!
