Hopefully not! Couldn't stand the sight of it ending up in a cover band.

Cover band with an italian accent

I can hardly imagine tribute band guys being as obnoxious as to buy Mark's actual guitars at an auction. It's a little bit creepy if you ask me.

Imagine it was your job to stand and take orders from rich fuckers on a phone.

Sonner will be on the hands of some 10yo Sheik's son.

I prefer imagine my job was to take and show the guitars in hand and looking at them so closely

If they were rich they would not buy a guitar that's on the cover of the auction and in a million videos of MK for the price of a used Ferrari.

Some of these prices aren't TOO crazy.

Might be a chance for people to pick up a lap steel or something as a souvenir.

If I had known that the MK1 would be sold for around €470,000, I would have bid as well.
(just kidding)
I was there: *Dire Straits: Ferrara, 6.7.1983 *Mark Knopfler: Pesaro, 7.6.2008 / Firenze, 11.11.2011 / Piazzola sul Brenta, 12.7.2013 / Milano, 28.5.2015 / Cattolica 18.07.2019 / Verona 22.07.2019

A little higher, 504K GBP, almost 600K euro, including the 26% auction fee

Auctions I've been to usually have a break and change auctioneer.  Maybe they'll just keep going.

Plus balalaikas and miscellaneous guitars will be sold in a matter of seconds, they will be pushed hard to show them fast enough.

Did the Dobro get confused with the National?  ;D
