Me too Val, do we know what song he was listening to? I was hoping for some coverage on the news channels in the UK but I didn't see any, did I miss them?
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

I can't be sure, but after a few listens I think it's MFN.

Is there any real evidence that he actually owned the “Jizzblaster”?

By the way, the Boom Like That Silvertone that was sold at auction had been modified before it was sold. The tremolo was replaced with a modern bridge.

MK News had it on a dedicated page but it's dead. At least that must mean something.

Thanks. I mean, it still doesn’t say that MK owned one, much less played one.

If memory serves, I believe Mark played the Jizzblaster (a word I cannot utter without sniggering) on the recorded version of Gator Blood. But I cannot for the life of me remember where I read that.

Hmm, no. I’ve never read that before. I have a feeling it was Guy’s forum.

What about his Signature red Strats? Does he still owns a couple?

Didn't he have the first two or three made? SE00000 & SE00001??

Mark for sure toured with SE00000 & SE00001. Neither of which were in the sale, nor have surfaced elsewhere. I would suspect he still has them. The red schecter "Strat", it was last seen in public in 2008 being played by Richard on Fish and Bird as far as I know.

SE00011 was the first serial number available to the public. Presumably, 0-10 went to Mark if they all actually exist. The MK serial number game is a bit head scratching.

I would think that Mark would not bore getting all the 11 first serials for himself.
I would guess that some went to Fender insider or Mark did offer some to friends.
But I could be wrong.

Yesterday I was asking myself about when Mark started being a serious guitar collector.
Because now he is into crazy expensive guitars but in my mind this is a turn he had taken over the years.
For many years he owned guitar in somewhat "standard" range price for a professionnal musician.
