That's quite rare, right ?  Joerons site features this date as a soundboard recording but doesn't include this song.  Quality it top notch.

2 years ago some material from the same concert was uploaded on YouTube by the channel Knopfler unlimited it featured the songs; once upon a time, expresso love, down to the waterline, lions, sultans and solid rock but not a whole concert and in worse audio and video quality.
My two cents are that they remastered or found some tapes ;) and the official DS YouTube page is going to be uploading the same songs in better quality but not a whole on location concert

In fact it has a higher quality than that recording that I had discovered a little over a year ago, had that damn watermark, now it's free of it, in addition to that now, the audio has been improved, it must have been remastered.  I wish we could have the full concert on video, with Skateaway, Portobello Belle, Angel of Mercy, Where Do You Think you're Going and TR, but that's not going to happen because it's Dire Straits, if it were The Police, it would be the full show, without a doubt, it's a shame we didn't have that luck

We will have the first 4 with cuts in the intro of Down to The Waterline and Lions (historical signature of everything that is released on the DS, there have to be cuts), a jump to SOS and another jump to Solid Rock, nothing more than that, but, even so, it is very good to see on the official channel. Who knows, maybe they found the tape that contains the complete show, as it belonged to INA. From what I have researched, Institut national de l'audiovisuel (Ina) is a French public institution, of an industrial and commercial nature, mainly responsible for archiving audiovisual productions. It is also responsible for the production, editing, and distribution of audiovisual and multimedia content intended for everyone. public, professional or private. Ina is also a training and research center that aims to develop and transmit knowledge in areas related to audiovisual production. It is associated with the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry - IFPI.

They have many archives of Dire Straits, Chorus tv 78 is another example, it's a shame it wasn't released in full, Paris 81 should follow suit, if not, we'll see a miracle happen.🙏🏻😅

But they only have video material? I understand that we can't count on a multi-track recording.

To be honest I don't know why there is a preoccupation with multitrack source material.  Loads of bands have released live material from two track stereo masters from the archive. Yeh they have their flaws but all part of the character if the overall quality is good enough then game on in my view.  This recording I'd a good example of that.

I completely agree, this would mean that we would have a much larger amount of material being released, at least on the official YouTube channel, since they are no longer releasing DVDs.
