But, for context, we're talking about two photo captions and not talking about all the photos, which is the main aspect of the book.

I have to say that I like the photos a lot, and you can clearly see how they improve in terms of composition and ideas as the tour goes by. It's a pitty that the last one you took (or selected) was from Barcelona and there is nothing from the very last date in Zaragoza.

very nice to see pics of Neil Dorfsman setting up for the recordings.

It turns out I hardly took any during the last leg of the tour. I think it's because the weather was getting greyer (Autumn) and we were all suffering a bit from burn out. Most of my pictures and a lot of the best ones are from the Spring and Summer of 1992, all across Europe.

this stuff happens all the time and everywhere.
Someone makes a tiny spelling mistake and it gets taken for granted and future discussions/mentions all got that spelling mistakes
Also, with stuff like venues, there is the local name, the international name, the old sponsor name, the new sponsor name, so many opportunities for mistakes.
i always keep correcting "Werchter Festival WeiSe" into "Weide" which is the flemish/durch word for pasture/meadow/grasland and which is basically the legendary Werchter Festival grounds in belgium, between Leuven and Brussels (also often referred to as being "in brussels" which it most deffo isn't) where DS played in 79 (lacklustre performance that Mark was not all too happy with and neither were the reviews, contrary to their Pinkpop performance a few days earlier, then again in 1981, which we all know as it is a grandiose performance, the penultimate of that tour before finishing the next day in Luxemburg and then again in 1992 where i was lucky enough to be in attendance and where a great When it comes to you was perfomed
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

Also stuff that someone posted as opinion gets taken as fact.

That's one of the reasons I'm glad Chris and Ed have come on here to correct a lot of stuff, we just need to keep the site online forever now. :)

Anyway yes, it was a one man project so a mistake was bound to crop up somewhere. I did check and recheck, used the band tour itinerary, online gig lists, then googled all the venues for local spellings etc.

I'm getting a lot of private feedback. Public would help spread the word. But anyway, the one word that keeps cropping up when people write to me is 'emotional'. People find looking through the book an emotional experience.
That's pretty cool!

Hi Pottel,
You were at '92 concert in Werchter ?
So was I, very close to the stage, in the limited access area to prevent pushing I guess.

But I'm wondering, what do you mean by "durch" ?!?
Just kidding, amigo.
A little revenge for you calling me dutchie ;-)

Chris, definitely because for many of us the great adventure with Dire Straits began in the early 90s  :)

And besides, who would have guessed at the time that 35 years later the DS drummer would be answering our questions on a forum.
It's amazing.
