Eric Clapton on tour 2010
« on: December 10, 2009, 09:16:23 AM »
Looks like EC has recovered from illness and will be touring in 2010 with Jeff Beck, solo and with Steve Winwood. Yummy! Unfortunately, some dates are overlapping with MK, why can't they coordinate their tours?? ;-)
My next EC gigs: New Year's Eye in Surrey, then O2 London and Madison Square Garden in Feb! Anyone will go too?

Are you really coming to NYC in February, marky49? I was planning on going to the Friday, 2/19, show at MSG, provided I can find a decent ticket on Saturday when they go on sale. Saw Jeff Beck back in April in Scranton, PA. Had 3rd row seats. Great show, even though Beck was rusty and made some mistakes.

Seems pretty silly to me that their tours coincide, especially as lots of people are fans of both!   I wonder whose management messed up!   :-\    MK dates seem to have been published first!

Jep, that's the plan. The entire family will fly to NYC again, the kids are used to fly anyway. Got my tix today in pre-sale already!

Absolutely silly, e.g. I cannot attend all the German EC gigs as I'm already busy with all RAH gigs of MK. And it's more convenient for me just to take the tube down to the RAH than travel through Germany by car.
But to be honest, both have got so many fans all over the world that they don't care. Probably they don't even know who is on tour and when. And EC sells out anyway tomorrow when the general ticket sale starts...

I'm wondering who will get Laurence Adams as a technician? Because he usually works for both! ;-) So who will win? :)

and who was the replacement?
but maybe it has nothing to do with winning, but simply who books earlier
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

He could decide to leave midway, like Chad.

It also sadly coincides in Switzerland : none of them.  :'(
Sorry, I can't travel to see EC. Already have to travel enough for MK !
I understand EC, he is doing only 15-20 european shows, he can't go everywhere.
MK is doing 50 shows. I don't understand ...
Maybe a late nice surprise like the show in Lyon.
A festival that can't announce his program too early.
Let's hope.

I'm hoping too that a particular venue will fill in on the West Coast.   They never reveal their season's line up until March.    But MK has booked there the last two tours.    Hoping Hoping Hoping.
But a spoonful of forgiveness
Goes a long, long way
And we all should do our best
To get along
