Hmmm, Guy has now deleted his answer about no guitarist having been booked!       It looks like it's James Walbourne, who I have never heard of!   :-\

I was just going to post Guy's reply to Wolfgang which said "Don't be too hasty -- a guitarist hasn't been booked yet" and saw that it's been deleted!  What's with that???

From Guy's site:

This week we return to British Grove and have started work on an album for Bap Kennedy.
Mark is producing, AND PLAYING ON, the record which will feature the following players:

Ian Thomas- drums
Glenn Worf- bass
James Walbourne-guitars
Guy Fletcher-piano, keyboards
John McCusker-fiddle
Mike McGoldrick-whistles

There are no plans for any release as yet.

Maybe Wolfis post was too nasty, about EC and MK and stuff... Or the news about a now full band set up has made Wolfis post obsolete...

EDIT: Oh, have been on Guy's page and seen he only changed his answer. I thought Guyus had deleted the whole post - shame on me. Guy has never
done such an evil thing! That's why we love him!  ;)

Wolfgang, that's me by the way!  :lol :lol :lol

Bap Kennedy also opened several of the US shows on the Shangri-La tour in 2005. I saw one of them, but I don't remember much of anything about the music. I think it was all acoustic. What I do remember (sadly) was the drunk idiot that yelled out "play Money for Nothing!" during their set.  :lol

I was there too, Radio City!

He played acoustic and another guy played electric with him.

Interesting project.

Ian Thomas is a session drummer from London, UK, born 1963 in Cardiff, Wales, UK.He played with Paul McCartney, Sting, Eric Clapton, Elton John and many more.

James Walbourne seems to be the guitarist of the Pretenders...

This from Guy today:

There will be plenty of things happening this year I'm sure of it. 2011 feels good.

Let's hope so!    :)

If MK won't make a new record, I guess I'll just have to fall in love with this guy instead.  He is kind of cute ... don't you think, ladies?

I agree with you there!    I remember him from RAH and thought he was good.  Thanks for posting this clip, I enjoyed it - I'd book to see a concert if he plays in the UK, I'll add him to my list
