about failing memory, I love this alzeihmer joke from Guy bedos (french humorist) :

 alzheimer has 3 advantages :
1) you don't have bad remembrances
2) you always see new people
3) you don't have bad remembrances

 :lol

The French are renowned for their wonderful food, aren't they! ;D ;)

Only joking!  Nice one. ;D

Very good indeed. It's the same as the adage, "With alzheimer's, you meet new people everyday".

Another is: "I know I don't have alzheimer's because I know I don't have alzheimer's"

My father in law died last year after years of suffering alzheimer, and if any of you have the bad luck of having someone in your family with that disease, you will find hard to laugh about it, although sometimes some of the situations are kind of fun, there is always a tremendous big amount of sadness on it.

I apologize Jbaent, but I didn't want to offend anyone

I had several persons in my family who died from Alzeihmer, and I know how sad is it, but I think that sometimes humour can a little bit treat our sadness, or our helplessness in the face of disease and death.

It's difficult for me to explain what I mean, because of my poor english, but I hope you get the idea.

a french humorist Pierre desproges said "we can laugh about everything, but not with everyone".

And I must admit that I forgot that a web forum (where you obviously can't know everyone) isn't maybe the right place to post such jokes, a little bit of "black humor" as we said in french, at least without taking "precautions".

I'll try to be more carreful next time

sorry again

best
JF

My mother is working daily with people who have Alzheimer. She always says, how sad something can be, sometimes it can be quite 'funny' as well. It has two sides.
If i was a Fender guitar, Fender painted red...
