A new track just rolled off the presses from my home studio. All comments including 'shut up', and 'don't give up your day job are more than welcome.  ;D  ;)

well done !  :thumbsup

very Beatles-ish, especially the vocals, and the guitar solo sound which reminds me George's telecaster tone on Let it be (single version)

Do what you want with your day job, but don't give up your music work ! I like it !  :clap :)

Thanks guys for the nice comments, I suppose I got the self deprecation and false modesty from MK himself...

I may post a few more tracks in this thread at a later date, once I get organised on soundcloud.

Yes, very Beatleyish - nice!    Do I detect a Liverpool accent or thereabouts?

Very good guess superval, although I have been an adopted southerner for the best part of 35 years. People don't pick up on it on a day to day basis.....I'm suitably impressed!

I was born in the maternity hospital a stones throw from Anfield. Left very young and moved to boring Basingstoke (I blame the parents). Went back and studied at uni there and still regard it as home. Yourself?

I lived near Liverpool Cricket Club in Aigburth, but have lived in Leeds for 47 years.    Liverpool is always very special to me.

My mum did her teacher training there sometime in the early to mid 60s..... Another spooky coincidence!  ;D

:thumbsup  Where's the "like" button ?

Yes, it has a definite "mid-Beatles" feel to it, & it's nicely produced too. What does your home studio consist of?  Mine is a 9' square spare bedroom alternatively referred to as "the studio" or "the Noisy Corner"  ;D  & I'm still recording to Cubase LE4 with virtual instruments from Native Instruments.

I had a quick listen to Running in the Headlights too,  and in addition to the "influences" mentioned above
I might have detected a hint of Elton John in a few of the pieces?

When you point your finger 'cause your plan fell through you've got 3 more fingers pointing back at you.
