Two out of eleven isn't bad. I feel better already  ;D

KTGC vol 2, now with 18% more rock!  ;D

Haha!

Listen, I like mellow and quiet albums as well, but when the majority of his output are cast in that mould, it gets boring. But hey - it's nice to have a little selection for background music at auntie Bertha's dinner parties  ;D

Slow doesn't mean a thing!   Lots of the songs on Get Lucky could be called slow, but they are beautiful.  For example "So Far From the Clyde" is relatively slow, but I don't remember many complaining about its slowness.  "Before Gas & TV" is slow, but it also happens to be one of my favourite songs.  :)   I still have a very good feeling about Tracker.   Why waste energy moaning before it's been heard and thoroughly digested!   ;)

It's not about slowness per se, but variation.

But you're right - lets hear the dang record. And then moan  ;D

Different perspectives, I guess. I want an album that is "exciting" rather than "beautiful". Not that they are mutually exclusive, but you know what I mean.

I like them, but in my opinion he should have released two albums, one with "regular" songs, and one blues album. I feel the many blues songs don't fit the other songs so well.

I like them as well of course. Mr. Dutchessy doesn't, I was just "busting his chops" about the moaning :)

A forum for the yeasayers and another one for the naysayers. And never the twain shall meet, eh?
