Dire Straits reunion in 2015 or 2016?

Dire Straits will probably reconvene for a couple of concerts. A press conference to announce the temporary reunion of one of the biggest rock acts of the eighties and nineties will follow later this year. Former Dire Straits rhythm guitarist Phil Palmer alluded to this backstage after a John Illsley concert in Eindhoven (The Netherlands) on February 26th. Whether the reunion will take place in 2015 or 2016 remains unclear. This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the band's official split up. An other possibility for the reunion could be the fact that 2016 marks the 25th anniversary of Dire Straits' latest studio album On Every Street.
