I recently "discovered" Al Stewart's Year of the Cat. I highly recommend the album! It's fantastic from beginning to end. Incidentally, Al Stewart was born in Glasgow like MK, and oddly enough some of the songs on Year of the Cat have very similar lyrical themes to MK songs. (Songs about historical events...people..."characters"...) Interesting.

You might like to check out a 22 year old Welsh fingerpicker named Gareth Pearson, who is highly rated by the likes of Tommy Emmanuel and Jan Akkerman.

Hope you enjoy and if you do there are of course plenty more videos on YouTube and also a CD called Urban Echoes Vol 1

Now the answer to all the questions about the war in Lybia can be found in the song "Funky dollar bill" by Funkadelic. And while you are at it, check out "Friday night (August the 14th)", and "I wanna know if it's good to you" and of course "Maggot brain". Eddie Hazel, what a great guitarist. He could have been the new Jimi Hendrix!
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Hi, this is "just" a song from a German TV ad for VW, but i can't get it out of my head. I think it is a great little melody, worth mentioning. I understand the "Flaming Wheels" are from Sweden and this song is from 2009. Haven't found any album or other stuff. Enjoy:

BTW, this is the commercial: The meaning is "good to know that you could if you wanted to."

found this song by accident (the movie about the sea was the main thing) but boy what a song.
pretty sure not everyone in here will like it, but the pure threat and dispair that goes out from this (dubstep) remix is mindblowing....
interested in your feedback...

Usually 'electronic' music doesn't do anything for me, but this is an exception. Perhaps it has something to do with the footage, where does it come from?

BTW, recently I learned that Top Gear is a great way to get introduced to some interesting pieces of music, derived from soundtracks mostly (Hans Zimmer etc.).
