Grudge, they knew there were scheduling conflicts, or they just didn't think about it. I mean, it's not like every band that broke up would think about reuniting for Live 8, no?

Eh, I'm pretty sure MK was already on tour at that point. In fact, I saw him at Radio City on 29th June 2005 and was still there when Live 8 was on. We had been on a Sopranos location tour and saw the Pink Floyd reunion on big screens in Times Square on our return.

I never believed in Glastonbury but there was a chance for Live 8 in 2005. I remember Mark said in one of the interviews that they didn't play at that concert for unexplained reasons.

My opinion is that anytime Mark would have wanted it, it would have happened.

Albeit nont promoted as it, 2002 was it.

Somewhere between the 1996 Tour and the 2001 Tour MK grew definitively too old and too boring to make me even WISH to see him again with DS anytime. The freshness, energy and drive was totally missing. And it got worse over the next couple of tours with the exception of 2013 where he seemed to have a (last) outburst of energy and motivation. To be honest, from 2000 on I HOPED he would never come up with a DS reunion. It would have destroyed the legend, totally.

I recall this being a question to Dr Fletch who said the reason they didn’t play was simply they were not asked.

Other band members might have declined. Maybe Danny C would play drums, John on bass. Rhythm guitar, Alan Clarke?
So many different members over the last three tours (1980's to 1992).

If they had asked you, would have said yes, Chris? (I know, what if and so on). Just for one gig?
