Mark talking about David in any way has surely got to require a strong to gale force cringe warning.... :o

It´s a virtual collaborations work with Elvis, Michael Jackson and Prince among others. The technology makes it possible. Long time is for technicians work.

Or a christmas disk  ::) ;D

If he does have guest(s) on this album then I hope they aren't too old...   ;)

I wonder how many Mark's songs I will be able to discuss on MKSB before any news would pop up. So far I've done 20 songs clocking in at 4 hours already. Maybe I should run something like a sweepstakes or something? Give me a lesson number at which news would pop up and an album release number :lol

If this project is just a regular album the only explanation for the delay that I can think of is Mark wanting to revisit the recordings after bumping into some new equipment or tech. It must be something different. Two months ago I thought that was gonna be album + documentary but now it better be something else - a good thing, of course. God forbid but I got a little scared after seeing Clapton in a wheelchair last week.

The pause in activity may not be down to music at all! Sometimes life gets in the way for us all, even music legends

Just a thought

We should be patient. Don't forget about his age. Mark doesn't need to do this anymore, he can if he wants. And let's hope for us he will. (soon)
Another artist I admire, John Mayer (you should definately check him out), worked for 2,5 years on his latest album, The Search For Everything (you really should check it out). The waiting was worth it.
Mark and John are totally different people/artists, but the waiting on John's album was way easier because he uses social media a lot to connect and tease his fans about what's going on with him and his music. I wish Mark, or his management, did this more. I think it makes the waiting a lot better.

It is known that is not just a regular album.

We are so used with social media. But you will never get the same pleasure back to the time when a new album would pop up from nowhere after years of waiting. I remember how I was stuck when I first heard Darling Pretty on the radio...

Some had the DSIS newsletters... I never received one but had friends who were subscribers so I knew that MK was recording his first solo album by the time the Live at the BBC was released.
