"All songs are written by Mark Knopfler apart from ‘Just A Boy Away From Home’ where he shares the credits with Rodgers and Hammerstein, as the song uses a piece of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ to spin its tale of a lone Liverpool fan wandering the empty streets of Newcastle after midnight."

That sounds really interesting ....

He'd better not play it live in Glasgow.

Why not? Steven Gerrard can sing along.

"The album stays true to the folk and roots-inflected ambience of his solo material, but introduces new elements of jazz, funk and even a hint of the rockier leanings of earlier days."

I had heard that Celtic fans sing the song as well...

Stole it. It's a Liverpool fan anthem really.

No the 16 tracks are Deluxe Edition. Standard are only 14 tracks, around ... 65?  (tracks 14 and 15 are the bonus tracks, track 16 Matchstick Man is the closing track on both editions.)

I know it's early days but any speculation on when the tour dates for the UK would be? I feel like i'll be tempted to make the trip over from oz, but would be nice knowing when , Spring perhaps? April/May? or more likely Summer? June/July?
