Well I like YLT. But CBC in preference to WII? Nonsense.

Listen to the album version of YLT, then a live version from 2015 onward.  They are embarrassing by comparison.  The album version is so good but Mark cannot sing it live and his guitar fills are also poor and repetitive, exactly what makes the album version so brilliant.

Perhaps the rest of the band are afraid to tell Mark how awful it sounds but I can sense the audience getting restless during the song.
"I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order."

CBC is one of the greatest songs of the set.

I hope Radio City Serenade.

Man, so many great songs Mark never played live. I can very clearly imagine how Radio City Serenade would sound with this amazing band.

BUT

Yeah... But, on the other hand, I feel that after big tours Mark will unveil more songs to be played live, without the need to prove something to somebody doing a 85-shows tour in 70. More intimate shows like Boothbay Harbor or Prince's Trust 2009 spawns rare performances and even almost a live album for the latter. I don't know how people think, but I'm happy that Mark closes this series of neverending Done With Bonaparte Tour and will sigh with a relief on September 22, waiting for an "odd show" with Mark in his true and better than ever shape.

It's always been extremely interesting to me to know the true feelings of band members towards Mark, because for us the general public it's always praise only of course. ESPECIALLY from Guy. But I feel that the musicians are pretty bored playing Sultans for instance, to the point that I remember seeing Glenn literally sleeping while playing this song, so at least that one got out of the set already, thank Gods of music for that.

I'm sure there will be new songs.

The highest you dream, the highest you fall.

It's MK who we are talking about.

Look at the Tracker tour.

Yes, TR was dropped after a while there too!  :)

I know what you're saying, but there was more variation during the early shows with new songs.  The first four shows had a different setlist.

For how long was TR dropped during the Tracker tour?

Tr was dropped from almost all the North American tour and substituted by OES.

Ah, now I remember. Thanks. OES instead, huh. Not quite the same "value", I'd say.

The problem with one-off shows is that you can't secure a world class band as most musicians tend to commit to more profitable endeavours.

Most of MK one off shows had a good band so that doesn't worry me at all.

Exactly, MKs 'one-off/promotional' bands in the past have been rather good...

Great to see that there's a lot of us, since I'm also a fan of MK's "backup bands".
