I was wondering that too as I've never heard of him before, but at least they acknowledged Local Hero even though they didn't seem to enjoy MK's music!   Maybe he's some relation of Russell.

Basically they badly needed a specific Peter Gabriel song tor a scene in a movie. Allegedly MK gave PG advice to squeeze as much cash as he could out of the film makers give  how badly they wanted to use his song. Hence the dislike for all things MK....

Sorry but songwriters have been royally screwed since the inception of the corporate music business. Publishing deals for even the top selling artists were notoriously bad. You can hardly blame any songwriter for getting what they can
