I know about that magazine. I scanned the pictures of each guitar and included them to the guitar section of my site. Just one example of the Les Paul Standard from 1958;

Great magazine!

not sure it's an original item: there are at least a couple of details that raise doubts
(and reading what is written in the description, rather ridiculous moreover, I am not the only one to have doubts)

What kind of details do you mean? To me, the back of the item looks a bit self made with the tourbook and pass on it. There are more Italian items on Ebay that are no official promo items but for which they ask a fortune. Most of them limited to just 100 copies, maybe this OES belongs to the same category, who knows.

Thanks Rudiger!  Changing the subject now, I bet that with the appropriate amount of money we can create something official for AMIT. Can we get in touch with MK management and ask for their permission and make something official and limited just for the members.
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

A nice curio:

And could this be true:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DIRE-STRAITS-Love-Over-Gold-Long-Box-Longbox-CD-Brand-New-Sealed-/191092962406?pt=Music_CDs&hash=item2c7e073466

The OES longbox is not something special: it was released in the late days of longboxes, with just a plain cardboard and a sticker. Not much appetible. The selling price is out of this world: a couple of years ago I've bought my sealed copy for less than 20 USD.

The signed BIA programme is worth what you're willing to pay for signatures.

The leather jacket is out of my field (and my interest): I have no idea about its value

The Japan Communique vinyl is genuine. I know it's quite rare but it seems way overpriced

The LOG longbox is genuine too. A nice piece of the old times, but, even if sealed, it's overpriced. It's not even a first edition and I'm not sure if inside there is the early edition "Made in West Germany" or (more likely) the late "Made in USA" edition. It is worth what a collector is willing to pay, but its intrinsic value should not exceed 70-80 USD

Thanks for the info rudiger! It is a big world out there for collectors! And as you mention these prices is out of this world! I am just a bit skeptical about the authenticity of some, due to their showing up in Asia, (Korea, Hong Kong etc.) I guess we (when I say we, I mean DS/MK fans as a whole)  are responsible for some of the prices, because we sometimes buy things we believe that are harder to find than they actually are.

By the way, do the longboxes fold in and make a regular CD (digi or jewel case) or are they always like this? I have an INXS longbox, but it gives instructions how to fold it and make it a digipac.
Come on, it is not funny anymore.
